I want to purchase a food processor / blender for a small kitchen but big family – any suggestions?

If you have a small kitchen, how can you fit a good food processor?

Many people think they can buy a blender and use it as a blender AND a food processor. Wrong! If you want a blender/food processor, you need to buy a machine that specifically functions as both. If you’ve used a blender as a food processor for a while, you may not know the difference, but once you start using a food processor, the difference is quite vast and you won’t go back to using a blender when it is obvious that only a food processor will do.

Some great places to look are Sears, Macys, and Best Buy. The food processor/blender I have was purchased at Best Buy last year. It is the Cuisinart Smartpower 7 Speed Duet. Although it was a little pricey, some things you cannot go cheap on and if you have multiple people in your family continuously using it, it will be worth the money.

I have had this machine for over a year, use it on an almost daily basis, and it still works like the first day I got it. Another great perk is its size. It's small enough to fit on a very limited counter space and even when it is used repetitively, it does not generate a lot of heat like some machines, so you can put it right next to other items. It is great for processing fruits, vegetables, and wheat grass. The blender works great for smoothies, margaritas, and shakes.

Furthermore, the Cuisinart machine cleans very well. All parts come apart very easily, are machine washable, and are simple to put back together. Overall, this small kitchen food processor has given me no problems and I would recommend it to anyone.
